The short questionnaires you’ll complete in Gem Identification are a great way to determine what you’ve learned and what you might have missed. The questionnaires also give GIA an idea of your progress. You must complete each questionnaire with a minimum score of 75 percent to meet your course requirements. You can retake the questionnaires as many times as necessary.
Another terrific way to check your progress is to take another look at the Key Terms and Key Concepts at the end of each assignment. If you run across a term or concept that isn’t clear to you, you can easily turn back to the place in the assignment where it’s discussed in detail. Just look for its mention in the margin.
Now that you’ve finished Assignment 1, complete the first questionnaire. You’ll find that it’s best to do the questionnaires as soon as you finish the assignments, while the material is still fresh in your mind. That way, there’s less danger that you’ll forget important facts.
Practical Help for Distance Education Students
Some of the assignment questionnaires include added progress checks for Distance Education students. After the first 15 questions, supplemental questions ask you to identify certain features of the stones in your stone sets.
You use the skills you’ve learned in that particular assignment to answer each set of questions. Simply submit your answers just as you did for questions 1 through 15.
